Marisa D'Vari

As a Manhattan-based journalist D'Vari writes for international newspapers like London's Financial Times and glossy magazines such as Robb Report, Quarterly Review of Wine, Sante, Ritz-Carlton magazine, and hundreds of others.

Earlier in Boston, she produced and hosted the weekly television program titled A Taste of Luxury from 1995 - 2005, featuring luminaries such as the late Julia Child, Robert Mondavi, Todd English, Daniel Boulud, Charlie Palmer, Adam Tihany, and many others.

During the same ten-year period, she was the restaurant reviewer for the Beacon Hill Paper. Her column, A Taste of Luxury, was internationally syndicated to many newspapers and web sites by the Paradigm Syndication Group.

Active in Share our Strength and program director of Boston's AIWF (American Institute of Wine & Food) when Julia Child and her assistant Stephanie Hersh were at the helm, D'Vari came to know and befriend many of Boston's most dynamic chefs.

D'Vari taught a diploma course at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, served on the board of the Roger Saunders School of Hotel Management, and also taught classes at Harvard and Emerson College.

In addition to her articles, columns, and television show she is the author of five books translated into three languages and a national speaker. She is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, International Association of Culinary Professionals, a Fellow at the James Beard organization, a long standing member of the American Society for Journalists & Authors, National Speakers Association, and Member of the Magazine Publishers of America.

D'Vari travels frequently and is pursuing her diploma from the Wine & Spirits Educational Trust.
